Many people have lived in Llandegla and its surrounding area and we would love to hear from you with your memories of the village and life here. Perhaps you are one of the many people who have enjoyed walking along Offa's Dyke footpath and have passed though the village and maybe taken tea in the village shop or church. If so, we would welcome your memories of your visit. Finally we must not forget the many good people of the community who have lived here for many years and we would like to hear from you too. Tales of long ago, pictures of life in the village, memories of people, property and businesses now long gone will all be welcome for inclusion in this section. In re 1950’s, we had a caravan (a converted single decker bus) sited in the field behind the Plough Inn. It was lit by a gas mantle and we had to negotiate the chickens in the pub yard to fetch water from a standpipe. We had some great times there.
I don't know what ultimately happened to the caravan or how this idyll ended.
