A message from Church Warden Annie Walsh

Dear Friends,

This Sunday is a rather special occasion in that we welcome the Reverend Helen Gheorghiu Gould to our 10.00 am service at St Tecla’s for the very first time. Helen is our new Transitional Priest-in-charge of the Vallee Crucis Mission Area and we look forward to her help in growing the church locally in Llandegla.

Then next Saturday (October 16th) we have our first Catch-Up Coffee Morning back once again inside St Tecla’s Church – but this time socially distanced. It will be from 10.30 to 12.00 and we hope to have Helen attending again then.

Another very special date to add to you diary is Sunday 24th October when we will be holding our annual Harvest Service at St Tecla’s at 6.00 pm in the evening. The service will be taken by the Venerable Malcolm Squires, who was St Tecla’s Rector for many years and also the Archdeacon of Wrexham. We have also invited members of the chapel. Malcolm and his wife Buzz were great pillars of the Llandegla community for many years and there will be some refreshments after the service.

Lastly, please find  a set of resources for the Nineteenth Sunday after Trinity from John Gambles at  St Tecla's Church (llandegla.wales) . There is the usual Worship at Home Service for those who are unable to get to church. Intercessions and Bible Notes are included as are bilingual readings of the Gospel for Children and activity sheets. You will see that these readings are for Proper 23B and have alternative OT readings for the day; the Gospel is the same for both.

I look forward to seeing many of you on Sunday.

Kind regards

Annie Walsh – St Tecla’s Church Warden
