A message from Church Warden Annie Walsh

Dear Friends,
Yesterday was quite a special day at St Tecla’s that will stay with all of those present for years to come.
We planted a tree in St Tecla’s Church yard in honour of the Duke of Edinburgh . . . and the planting was done by the children of Ysgol Dyffryn Ial. They also explained at some length the Dukes role as Consort to the Queen and how and why he came to develop the Duke of Edinburgh Award which has been taken up by millions of Children around the world.
Then they followed that up by singing ‘All things bright and beautiful’ . . .
It was truly quite magical . . . to hear their young and eager voices singing outside in the sunshine on such a fine crisp morning . . . and for that we must thank John Gambles who took the service.
Following on, this Sunday we welcome once again to St Tecla’s Reverend Mike Williams who will be taking our 10.00am Eucharist Service.
To help your plans over Easter please find a list from Reverend Helen of all events at St Tecla’s during lent and Easter at https://www.llandegla.wales/st-teclas-church/index .
I look forward to seeing you once again on Sunday.
Best wishes Annie Walsh
St Tecla’s Church Warden
