Coronation Celebrations: What you need to know!

The Planning Group have been working hard to organise this series of events for the Coronation weekend—we hope it will be the first of many such ‘come-together’ events. Keep an eye on the Village Facebook (LlandeglaC) page for updates on our plans and detailed timings.

Events are being planned for outdoors but we will check the weather forecast and there will be alternative arrangements.
At the Big Lunch on Sunday afternoon we’re hoping to have a Village photograph; a fancy dress parade; some singing; and children’s games.

The Big Help Out on Monday morning will start at approximately 10.00 am. Several projects have been suggested to improve the appearance of the Village—painting railings, tidying and litter-picking in the public areas like the Picnic Area, installing planters at the entrance of the Community Field— but we’re looking for more ideas. Please submit ideas to coronation@llandegla.wales  or call 07823 497719. All ages are welcome, and there will be a barbeque for all those taking part.

Later in the year we’re planning further events, likely to include the planting of daffodils in the verges and a Coronation oak tree.

Volunteers will be needed over the weekend, for setting up and taking down of equipment and seating and for some stewarding. Please offer a little time to help: if you email your availability to coronation@llandegla.wales we can plan better and make sure nobody is overburdened.
The Planning Group is meeting again on Tuesday April 4th at 7.00 pm in the Memorial Hall and all are welcome to come along.
